About MasterMechanic

Bluon's AI MasterMechanic is a breakthrough artificial intelligence system for the HVAC industry. It's designed to help HVAC service technicians diagnose and solve most problems in the field, using only natural language inputs. The system was trained on nearly 50,000 problem-solution scenarios from Bluon’s database of tech support calls. As a result the system understands a huge breadth of HVAC issues, in virtually every system type. It knows how techs describe problems, and how to provide guidance.

How it works

Under the hood, MasterMechanic uses a combination of machine learning approaches including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) in vector space, Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF), agenetic functions that tap into the Bluon database, and Large Language Models (LLMs) for processing text.

This enables the AI to recover complex, hidden relationships between all aspects of HVAC system components and operating characteristics, and surface the mostly likely set of solutions for the technician.

Roadmap
